The socialist councilor Maite Espinosa, responsible for monitoring the area of ​​Health, has denounced the situation that is occurring in the medical office of Holy Angel, where consultations of Paediatrics and General Medicine suspended for several days.
This situation occurs because the Murciano Health Service (SMS) has hired medical personnel to cover the services of Pediatrics, Family Doctor and guards at the Emergency Department of Primary Care (SUAP).
According to information gathered by the mayor Maite Espinosa, when this person just SUAP guard must wage, and have decided to suspend the consultations of Paediatrics and General Medicine for four or five days of August.
"If confirmed these ends, we have seems a nonsense that so badly planned and that the same person will make those contracts," he said.
In his view, "it is already very complicated first pass the query of Pediatrics and after General Medicine, as guards then take over the SUAP".
For the Socialist Group, this fact means overwork for health professionals, which results in an increased workload, most likely medical and risks errors, and certainly a lack of respect and care for citizens suffering the consequences of poor planning.
The PSOE mayor has addressed the Councillor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, to convey these facts and ask who is interested in the case against those responsible for the SMS and request information in order to check if the same situation were to occur or at other health centers in the districts and neighborhoods of the municipality of Murcia.
