Municipal buildings Local Police and Fire, located in the Complex Safety Infante, already have their energy certification, and so credited the plate last days discovered the Councillor for Traffic Safety and Civil Protection, Lola Sanchez.
This work responds to the actions undertaken by the City Council through ALEM Service, the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change Murcia, in compliance with legal requirements for certification of energy efficiency of buildings, which requires properties more than 500 m2 and influx of public to have their energy certificate and display their supporting label.
This catalog describes the building by a score in the form of letter, ranging from "A", which represents the most efficient behavior on the scale of energy consumption and CO2 emissions, to the "G" which is the worst rating possible.
Valuations obtained are "C" for the building of local police, and "D" for the Fire.
Both were built in the 70s, a circumstance that determines the building systems and materials with which they were built, two parameters that have great weight in its energy rating.
This certification complements the many actions already being carried out in the same since 2012, when it launched the European Energy Saving Project SmartSpaces- Intelligent Buildings.
Both buildings have their monitored electricity consumption and the study allowed to draw up a plan of measures specific improvements, some of which have already been implemented, such as installing motion detectors in locker rooms or study the replacement of the existing lighting to LED.
It also has also undertaken measures users' awareness through workshops on the efficient use of energy in public buildings, reinforced by a system of adhesives and notices that recall the best energy saving practices at the same point of consumption.
These actions have yielded savings compared to the year 2012, 11% Police and Fire 6%, since due to the characteristics of their work have to keep active systems for a possible emergency.
The ALEM Service has made the corresponding energy studies obtaining the energy label 15 other municipal buildings, information that serves as a starting point to undertake improvements and reforms to make them more efficient.
