Councilwoman Susan Hernandez Ruiz has reported today obscurantism and lack of transparency of the municipal government of the Popular Party by not having provided
on the cost of leases of premises for the city of Murcia
When they presented each year municipal budgets we see that one of the items of expenditure which has a very high forecast is the lease, the rent, whether local, machinery and transport elements.
In this motion we will stop in leases of premises, some involving leases in recent years superior to EUR 600,000 per financial year amounts, and in some years even above 700,000 euros.
Specifically for 2016 the forecast is for 655,467 euros, a significant amount, especially if we compare with other costs facing our City.
Hence the interest of the group I represent to have information on all the premises they occupy various municipal services in rent.
In the previous term, and even in the present, we have demanded the government team about these expenses, and so far our demands have fallen on deaf ears.
From the Municipal Socialist Group we understood that with an internal communication requesting this information would be enough, but apparently naive sin.
More seems that the Popular Party has no interest in providing this information, information that would prove, in our view, that with optimization of existing public spaces would not need to carry many of these expenses.
This silence repeated and, in our view, wrapped in a curtain of secrecy and lack of transparency in saying what public money is spent, it is the one that has especially motivated the filing of this motion.
Therefore, the Socialist Group of the City of Murcia presented for discussion and approval by the Municipal Council of the City Council the following agreements:
That we urgently be provided to all opposition groups list (in digital format) which included the following:
List of premises occupied municipal offices or services that are not municipally owned and are rented.
The address of the above premises.
The services provided in them.
The individualized monthly cost of the same for the municipal coffers.
The name of the owners of the premises, and / or social reason thereof.
The start date of the lease contract and the date of completion.
The establishment of a joint working group composed of municipal experts and a representative of each political group to assess each case and see the possibility of relocation and savings if feasible.
