The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the president of the regional government, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, signed the agreement for the recovery of the site of San Esteban and its surroundings, a project that will return to Murcia this central public space of 23,000 meters today square, opening to the public the archaeological site, the Palace of San Esteban and the sixteenth-century Jesuit church, thus enabling a cultural and tourist resource for the city internationally and the Region of Murcia.
