The Socialist Group Municipal Councillor, Maite Espinosa will defend next Thursday in plenary a motion proposing that the seven public nursery schools of the City of Murcia have the presence of nursing staff.
On 13 October 2015, the Autonomous Region issued an order of the Directorate General of Educational Innovation and Attention to Diversity in which he gave instructions for the development of an experimental program of health care during school hours.
This project has been implemented in the course which has now completed (2015-2016) in two schools in the region.
Specifically in Murcia the center of reference is the School of Infantile and Primary Education Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
This pilot scheme has had very positive results and, logically, should be extended to other municipal preschools and public schools, but we fear that this Special Plan remains that, in extraordinary, and there is no political will to extend school health care.
For these reasons, the Socialist Group present the following motion for debate and approval if any of the following agreements:
1.Instar the competent body to provide the city of Murcia municipal nursery school in the presence of a professional in Nursing.
2.Instar the competent departments of the Autonomous Community's Health and Education to study the inclusion of health care in public schools.
