The Governing Council of the University of Murcia (UMU), which met today in the building of convalescence, home of the Chancellor, has approved an agreement for the creation of the Chair Arturo Perez-Reverte.
The rector Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Employment, Professor Francisca Thomas, who presented the agreement, said that the Chair, which will be financed by the Cajamurcia Foundation is dedicated to conducting activities on Spanish and Latin American literature and especially on the work of the Carthaginian writer who will give name.
These activities, he added, will be developed through courses, conferences, masters and others.
For its part, the rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, has advance Perez Reverte participate in the session of the seminar the Rector to be held on the third of October, act to be exploited to make the presentation of the Chair.
Within the agenda of the session, it has approved a master's degree in Political Analysis Applied and program of simultaneous studies of Masters in Law and Master in Advanced Research and Specialist in Law, proposed by the Vice Chancellor of Planning Teaching Professor José Manuel Mira.
It has also been given approval to the signing of 143 agreements signed in the third quarter of this practice course for students in companies.
Within the Vice President for Coordination and internationalization, on a proposal from its owner, Professor Bernardo Cascales, it has agreed, as a measure to facilitate practices of foreign students in the UMU, that they are similar to those of this educational institution.
In addition, Professor Cascales welcomed the increase of students registered in recent times in the Language Service (SIDI), having passed the number of enrollments in the second quarter of last year, which totaled 1,009, to 1,367 in the same period of the current year.
In total enrollment registered in this service, the increase reaches 35 percent.
The Vice Chancellor reported that within the policy of promoting scholarships, this course has achieved a funding of 100,000 euros.
As for the Erasmus mobility, it explained that it has grown from 450 participants from 750 two years ago, and that the goal is to reach the thousand.
The governing body of the UMU has also approved, among other matters, debate regulations mandatory electronic notifications., Along with several courses offered by the Training and Innovation Vice Chancellor, Professor Pedro Miralles.
