The City of Murcia, through the Department of Social Rights, allocate 21,000 euros to two associations of disability for the development of social projects.
This is the program autonomy of deaf and deafblind Federation of the Deaf of the Region of Murcia (FESORMU) and psychosocial care for people with cystic fibrosis and other pediatric diseases and their families.
Thus, the Governing Board today has given the green light to a grant of 13,000 euros to the Federation of the Deaf of the Region of Murcia (FESORMU) to develop a program of autonomy for 60 users of this group, through service interpreters Spanish Sign Language interpreters and guides for deaf and deaf-blind.
Specifically ordinary interpretation services are available to all users who request and allows citizens access to public goods and services competition in all areas: information, health, administrative procedures, social and employment field, etc., allowing in turn, they can communicate with deaf people when requiring communicate in their language.
The service is fully accessible via the website (www.fesormu.org), email, SMS, WhatsApp and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.
For its part, the Murcia Association of Cystic Fibrosis, will have an amount of 8,000 euros to improve the quality of life of 400 people diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and other pediatric respiratory diseases and their families, contributing to their social, emotional and family welfare through comprehensive care that promotes health and adherence to treatment.
With the award of this grant, continuity is given to the program of psychosocial care of this group, increasing the emotional well-being of people served and reducing the disorders associated with fibrosis.
The activities are carried out through respiratory physiotherapy services, psychological and social care and training to families.
