The winner of two Latin Grammys and professor of the Master of Sound Engineering and album of the UCAM has offered a showcase accompanied by cartagenero luthier, Luis Guerrero, a former student of this university and creator of guitars, among others, the musical director Alejandro Sanz and Diego Garcia himself.
Both project a short film that aims to promote the port city.
Raising awareness of the importance of musical culture through the eyes of the prestigious Valencian guitarist Diego Garcia, artistically known as 'The Twanguero', has been the main objective of the showcase which took place in the studio of Radio and Television of the Catholic University of Murcia.
Extensive experience, backed by two Latin Grammys and a title of Cultural Ambassador of Spain, has allowed him to move their "experiences of battle" on more than one occasion students of the Master of Sound Engineering and album of the UCAM, in which he stands as a trainer.
"The journey of learning is endless and the theoretical basis of teaching must be proven through real experiences."
The profession of musician, travel and adapt to new cultures are the aspects demanded by new students, "said the Twanguero. It has placed special emphasis on the" tradition of the Spanish culture, the six strings "that , as noted, "he manages to differentiate and transmit the character of the people to perfection".
During his visit to the educational institution, he accompanied Luis Guerrero, a telecommunications engineer graduated from the UCAM and reconverted to luthier.
His training has allowed him to evolve into the concept of building acoustic guitars, they noted for combining engineering, research and craftsmanship.
Now has his own workshop-laboratory in Cartagena and his creations have already traveled around the world in the hands of prestigious artists, such as the current musical director and guitarist Alejandro Sanz, Michael Cyrus, and of course, Diego Garcia, who comes testing the possibilities of their guitars for years.
Both plan, for next year, recording a short film, with the support and collaboration of the School of Communication and the Department of Telecommunications of the Catholic University, which achieves represent the close relationship between musician and artisan process creating the perfect guitar as well as "life that the musician gives him when he gets his hands," says Twanguero, and further promote international port city.
