Three candidates selected by CEOM will do internships in the departments of Social Rights and Modernization, and may qualify for a training contract
The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the president of the Association for the Integration of Persons with Intellectual Disability (CEOM), Jose Tomas Nicholas, signed this morning an agreement to promote training and social and professional integration of people with disabilities, urges the Department of Modernization.
"The training of people with disabilities is the first step to ensure equal opportunities in the labor market.
The illusion, dignity and the efforts of these murcianos is exactly the same as other people and are entitled to receive that opportunity, with the necessary skills, enabling them to develop their job skills, "said José Ballesta, who added that "the City Council, continue to take steps forward to promote the full inclusion, also in the workplace".
In fact, last June, the City Council has already signed a similar agreement with Astrapace, which has led to the hiring of three people with cerebral palsy, in the departments of Social Rights and Modernization, after performing 500 hours of training and obtain the necessary qualifications .
Meanwhile, the three candidates selected by CEOM will perform labor practices by a period of six months also in municipal services of the departments of Social Rights and Modernization.
Completion practices, may negotiate with the Public Employment Services recruitment training for workers who have passed the practical stage.
The contract for training and learning will be held for an initial period of one year, extendable up to its maximum duration set.
The aim is that people with disabilities can improve their training and gain experience in a job for a specific period of time, facilitating their employment and social integration, with the advice of City staff and professionals CEOM.
Of Public Interest
CEOM was born 26 years ago thanks to the union of Murcia families with members suffering from various mental disabilities.
It is a declared public utility association, which aims to improve the quality of life and social integration of people with physical disabilities and / or organic, with which the City Council has been working actively, as with the rest associations that are part of FEAPS (Federation of Organizations for people with intellectual disabilities and cerebral palsy).
CEOM has an own Employment Center, whose workforce is composed of 100% for people with disabilities and offers users the opportunity to develop their job skills and the opportunity to access a decent job.
The association also offers a service labor integration, with support and individualized actions, so that their users can access, maintained and promoted in a company or institution.
