Los Rosales recovery next year will reach 259 more homes.
To this end, the Governing Board will approve tomorrow Urbamusa entrusts the drafting and construction management of the second phase, as a preliminary step to begin the process of bidding and execution of the intervention, which will undertake the City.
The expansion will affect 259 of them municipal housing -61 10 blocks of buildings and represents an investment of 1.8 million euros, of which the City will provide 57%, 35% State and the Autonomous Region almost 8%.
It covers 71% of the blocks, located in the northern and southern areas, where the most degraded buildings are located.
With this performance in 2017 will reach 71% of the neighborhood and will start the process to complete the plan covering the remaining 29%.
The first phase of ARRU (Department of Rehabilitation, Renovation and Urban Regeneration) in the neighborhood of Los Rosales of El Palmar had a budget of almost 1.7 million euros.
The execution ended in May and allowed to act on 379 homes distributed in 14 blocks, which are suitable facades, it has been renewed and improved sanitation access areas to buildings.
In addition, they redesigned the common areas of the neighborhood and has been renovated paving, furniture and lighting.
Improvement for 6,000 residents
In this way, and once completed the phase II project which will be in charge tomorrow, governments have sought to rehabilitate 638 houses and 24 blocks, which will have invested a total of 3.5 million euros.
Next year this second phase will be completed and will be implemented actions to tackle the third and last.
6,000 residents living in the area will benefit from this action, which will facilitate both the improvement of buildings and common areas, plazas and pedestrian areas.
The people of the neighborhood, who were able to stay in their homes during the work and not have to deal with any expenses arising from actions to improve and, in addition, 30% of those recruited for the execution of the works have been neighbors from the district who were unemployed.
