"New lexicon of tourism: translation and specialized communication" is the title of the course of the International University of Mar-Campus Mare Nostrum to be held between 18 and 20 July at the Faculty of Sports Science of the University of Murcia, located in Santiago de la Ribera.
The course will focus on the translation of specialized texts in the field of tourism, based on lexical innovations.
According to organizers, "The new tourism and new forms of communication, mainly by boosting ICT luagar give the appearance of new genres in the tourism discourse and dissemination of new terms".
For this reason, the course will deepen the linguistic foundations of this type of communication, while the translator will provide guidelines for practice from experts of national and international scene.
The course will be theoretical and practical sessions, by providing participants with the tools necessary for multilingual translation.
The activity will last 25 hours and its direction is headed by Carmen Sanchez Manzanares, acting Diana Maria de Paco Serrano as coordinator.
The activity is aimed for students of different philology and translation, both graduates and graduates and doctoral students, as well as translators and specialists in tourism.
It can be useful to students of other degrees related to the Humanities and Social Sciences and for all those interested in the subject.
Registered students will receive 2.5 elective credits and 1 credit ECTS CRAU.
