The Governing Board has given the green light to the advisory service and monitoring the European Voluntary Service (EVS) to disseminate their actions in all districts of the municipality, allocating an amount of 73,568 euros for two years.
At present, counseling, under the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation, who heads Rebeca Perez, many young people, who are interested in participating in these programs mobility, and with this expansion, aims to increase the number lends participants.
This action is part of the Youth in Action program and therefore financed with EU funds.
The European Voluntary Service (EVS) enables young people to exercise a voluntary activity in another country for a period of time (12 months maximum) through transnational projects as volunteers.
These volunteer activities can be carried out in the field of environment, arts, culture, entertainment for children, young or elderly, heritage, culture, and sports and leisure activities.
From 2015 to the present it has been achieved Community funding for 105 young people will enjoy these projects in different European countries.
Murcia City Council participates in programs of the European Commission, such as Erasmus +, European Voluntary Service for young people aged between 18 and 30 years who develop the voluntary activity in a country other than that of residence and periods of 2 to 12 months.
These projects provide young people with an experience that improves their personal development and gives them difficult and expensive to acquire skills by other means.
These stays are funded almost entirely by the European Commission.
