Miguel Angel Lopez and Ruth Beitia measure their strength before the Olympics in the 'First International Meeting of Athletics Ciudad de Murcia', with 300 national and international athletes.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, Councillor for Sport, Felipe Coello, and international athletes Miguel Angel Lopez and Ruth Beitia, presented this afternoon the 'First International Meeting of Athletics Ciudad de Murcia', the last international race in Spain before the Games in Rio, which will host the city of Murcia next Sunday, June 26th.

The competition, which will bring together more than 300 national and international athletes comezará from 20.00 pm in the Monte Romero Stadium Espinardo campus.

The competition is divided into two categories: popular events, open to the participation of any athlete federal, and international tests, which will bring together the leading figures of world athletics.

The latter, which will start from 20.45, include a total of 12 disciplines: length, weight, 100 meter hurdles, 110 meter hurdles, height, javelin, triple jump, 400 meters (men and women), 5 km walk, 1,500 meters and 400 meters hurdles.
