The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Councillor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Perez, presented today at the Teatro Circo finalist bands contest CreaMurcia in the music category of pop-rock: Glasgow, The meatpies and The Purple Elephants, who have now played a theme in acoustic, to heat engines face the grand final which takes place this Friday at the Park Fofó.
The gala, which will feature performances by Juanito Makande as guest artist, will start at 20.30 and the price of tickets for the performance is 7 euros in advance and 10 euros at the box office.
"The Murcian music scene is boiling and, in fact, of the 11 artistic categories of CreaMurcia, the musical is the more successful among our youth, reaching records with over 500 participants, in three styles: pop-rock ( 55 bands registered), songwriting (73 entries) and other trends (total of 18), "said the mayor.
In this sense, José Ballesta added that "the turning point of this event and its consolidation as a national platform of Murcia musical talent came in 1998, when the group won the Second Creajoven then.
Since then, bands like Analogic, Varry Brava, Alondra Bentley, singer Rozalén Funambulista or have gone through this event today is a benchmark in the music scene in the region. "
During the finals, each of the three groups will have half an hour to demonstrate their expertise live.
After the performances, the technical jury, chaired by the Councillor for Youth, Rebeca Perez, decide the ruling.
Among the members of the jury are experts from the world of music of various professional profiles, as Sopena Angel Hernandez, Joaquin Guillen Saez, Julio Antonio Hidalgo Hellin, Miguel Angel Sanchez Juarez and Juan Albaladejo, as secretary.
The first prize winners will receive 1,500 euros.
In addition, with the aim of promoting their subjects recorded a CD that will collect the winning themes.

The final category of song copyrights and other trends (where rap, electronic music, etc. is included) will be played after the summer.
