Councillor for Traffic Safety and Civil Protection, Lola Sanchez, has signed a decree for the establishment of a protocol for monitoring the management control of municipal public car parks under administrative concession.

The aim is to "establish a framework to ensure compliance with the conditions agreed in the various lists of regulatory conditions of the concession, to verify compliance and, above all, improve the commitment of service to the user," explained Sánchez.

This decree will be sent to existing licensees, through the Parking Association of Murcia, whose representatives already met the council in order to show that "this is the first step to undertake a joint effort of complete improvement the service that is provided to citizens, both sides showing their willingness to achieve a more efficient service and parking close to the citizen, "stated the councilman.

This protocol actions affect various aspects such as the construction project and approved changes, current status, installation, operation and obligations parking.

On the construction project and approved amendments shall verify that the parking spaces contained in administrative contracts correspond to physically exist, both residents and rotation, as well as the existence of special reserves for Disabled , electric vehicles and two-wheelers.

Regarding the current situation of parking the current structural condition of the parking lot, both interior and exterior (rolled and pedestrian accesses and exterior urbanization), the current state of accessibility to it, the internal state of the park regarding cleaning and maintenance must be inspected and the state of flooring, paint and finishes, offices and units, stairways and pedestrian ramps and vertical, horizontal, marking and numbering each square signaling.

These inspections are conducted at least once every six months, and loans may be deemed appropriate when any one is aware of the abnormal operation of parking.

Subsequently, the Trafficking prepare an annual report containing a list of checks and tests, a photographic report and a proposal for action to be taken by the dealer.
