Councillor for Sports and Health of the City of Murcia, Felipe Coello, accompanied by those responsible for the CEI Association, have given the responsible Social Mobilization 'Save The Children' Guilló Juan Jimenez, the amount of 3487.90 euros, revenue obtained the Iª Fun Run to benefit from this NGO helping children.
The initiative, which took place on 28 February in the Garden of Malecón, drew the participation of about 500 people and is encompassed in the school activity 'Kilometre Solidario', in which students made the race and also contributed a donation selflessly.
In appreciation of this initiative, Save The Children named the College CEI 'Center Ambassador Save The Chidren' award that honors the activity of students and serves as a motivation to increase support.
Councillor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, stressed the commitment of the school to 'fight for respect for children's rights anywhere in the world and an end to situations of poverty, inequality and violence that millions of children live '.
The mayor concluded by highlighting the importance of this solidarity sports initiative, and said that 'there is no greater solidarity, the effort to help people in situations of inequality'.
