20,000 euros intended the city of Murcia, through the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation, who heads Rebeca Perez, a Spanish Red Cross with 10,000 euros and Unicef ​​with the same amount, for the delivery of humanitarian aid to assist the population affected by the earthquake in Ecuador.
For this purpose several agreements will be signed by granting a direct subsidy to these organizations as follows:
UNICEF will go to the following activities:
- Provision, provision and maintenance of drinking water and domestic water rationing measures.
- Kits distribution of drinking water, sanitation and hygiene and baby hygiene kits.
- Provision, distribution and maintenance of supplies for waste management and sanitation.
On the other hand, as to the grant awarded to RED CROSS it will go to provide a temporary housing solution for some 1,500 people, shipping, installation and assembly of 300 modular galvanized steel structures 18m2 each being provided.
Murcia City Council shows its support for the victims of the earthquake on 16 April in Ecuador, specifically in Manabi and Esmeraldas.
This same housing solution was installed in Haiti.
