The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture, within the activities organized by the municipality of Murcia for the summer, has scheduled 24 Summer Schools.
In total 1,210 seats of which 270 correspond to an approach of working together with the Department of Social Rights are offered.
Children born between 2004 to 2009, inclusive, can enjoy these activities to be held from 4 to 15 July 10 to 13 hours.
The registration period begins on Monday June 13 and will be open until June 16, from 17 to 21 hours in each center.
The draw of seats will be held on June 23 and the publication of lists on 27 June.
The most common contents of program activities include summer schools and workshops related to theater, visual arts, music, sports, cooking, games and dances, heritage ... In addition, the program of this edition incorporates specific activities to mark the celebration of the 750th anniversary of the Council of Murcia.
Thus, among the activities include schools of astronomy, simple experiments, processing boards goose, rings and shields, body expression through sound and movement, with Spanish-Jewish and medieval Andalusian dances, workshops wrestling and fencing workshop Aesop's fables and ballads as a small theater, visit to the Regional Film Archive, realization of the hamlet itineraries with mapping, visit to Lorca workshop of time ...
24 summer schools, five (Sangonera la Seca, Esparragal Zarandona, St. Pius X and Cobatillas) are organized jointly with the Department of Social Rights and the Field of Scientific and Artistic Work Beniaján with CEPAIM.
They have also helped the departments of Education, with the transfer of public schools, and Sports, with the transfer of the pools and sports halls.
The activities will be aimed at achieving objectives such as:
1. To facilitate the realization of alternative leisure activities in leisure time of children during the summer.
2. To promote attitudes of tolerance and solidarity among children.
3. Facilitate through the activities, participation, exchange and collaboration among children.
4. Encourage training in technical workshops and activities that can be applied later in the summer leisure.
5. Encourage play activities.
6. Know the heritage of our districts through various activities while we played and had fun.
7. Promote in children interest in learning about other times and cultures as part of our history.
