The City Council is working to strengthen support to families in crisis (06/06/2016)

José Ballesta meets with the team of workers Service Support Safamur Family, to lay the groundwork for collaboration that will expand the number of families and children in care.

The City Council also advances with Uniceff in the 'Child Friendly City' project, promoting the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child at the local level

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Councillor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, held a meeting this afternoon with the team of workers Service Support Safamur Family, a meeting in which the foundations were laid to strengthen support Municipal families in crisis and especially those who have problems related to teenage children, through the work developed by the Foundation since 1996.

"Through this joint collaboration, the City Council wants to support families living a situation of vulnerability and social difficulty or have children at risk of exclusion, reinforcing the specialized work Safamur provided from the Counseling Center and Family Mediation" He said the mayor, adding that "the goal is to expand the number of families served murcianas and their full integration."

Since 2012, Safamur receives a grant from the Social Services City of Murcia, to work with families in crisis in Murcia capital and surrounding areas.

In addition, the Foundation professionals maintain close coordination with technical Social Services, deriving certain cases for family intervention.

Parent School

Safamur is a Family Orientation Center belonging to the Franciscan Action Foundation and has a program of care for families in crisis, through which provide direct counseling and psychosocial intervention both parents, it is through its School parents as minors.

The Foundation also collaborates with the Prevention Service of Judicial Measures, working with families who have children with legal measures and where family mediation or intervention, part of compliance as recommended.

Advancing with Unicef ​​in the 'Child Friendly City' project
