The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Councillor for Education, University Relations and Heritage, Rafael Gomez, and members of the Regional Federation of Students Murcianos (Feremur), today visited the libraries of the Municipal Network Murcia from May to late June and will remain open on weekends, to facilitate the preparation of examinations to young people, coinciding with the final stretch of the academic year.
José Ballesta said that "there are more than 550 reading seats and open studio weekend in six of municipal libraries, an initiative that has been well received among murcianos students, especially among university, surpassing the 3,300 users last May ".
In this regard, he stressed that "the university are what make greater use of the facilities as they now face final exams and the City Council, we support them with adequate facilities and quality service, which also includes free wifi ".
In this initiative, which took place the last months of January and February, the Consistory goes hand in hand with the Regional Federation of Students Murcianos (Feremur), responding to the demand of this group which includes intermediate education (IES , conservatory, FP ...) and university.
The opening hours are Saturday from 15:00 to 21:00 and Sundays from 09:00 to 21:00 hours, uninterrupted.
Specifically, the positions are available in libraries River Segura (264), San Basilio (86), Cabezo de Torres (68), Pelagio Ferrer (El Palmar, 53) and La Alberca (50) and Beniaján (32).
