The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Thomas Violante, participated yesterday in the XXVI March-Pilgrimage to the Heart of Jesus Monteagudo, organized by the Jesuitas.Se Brothers is a diocesan march, but organized by the Church of Santo Domingo, by be the temple consecrated to the Heart of Jesus and for being the Jesuits who spread this devotion.
The minister referred to the great tradition of this pilgrimage that invites contemplation evening, family dialogue and meditation.
Murcia had a big boost this devotion, in the early twentieth century, the father Aranzubía promotes pilgrimages from all the peoples of the garden because he wants to erect a monument to the Heart of Jesus, inaugurating it on the hill of Monteagudo, owned then, the Marquis de Espinardo, in 1926. later would be demolished the statue, rising again in 1951, by popular cuestación.
This tradition was recovered from 1991, thanks to Father Sanchez Blanco and Father Martin Moreno.
Other collaborators, such as Alfonso Sanchez for years worked hard to march out each year, the square of Santo Domingo.
