The Governing Board has given the green light to the award of the project works for the restoration of building facades Almudí Palace, listed by the Special Plan for the Historic and Artistic of Murcia degree of comprehensive protection in January.
It has been considered necessary from the Department of Heritage, directed by Rafael Gomez Carrasco, an intervention on the facades of the municipal building for proper conservation, given its current degree of deterioration, and being municipal responsibility for their material conservation.
The restoration work to be done consists among other actions in the general cleaning of the surface of facades, consolidation areas weathered stone, volumetric reintegration of specific areas of stone factory, sewn on stone factory in the soffit of the arches over entrance doors, cleaning, consolidation and restoration of shields, commemorative and allegorical image of the virtue of Charity of the main facade plates.
This last performance will be under the technical direction of restaurateur, and according to the guidelines of the Directorate General of Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the CARM.
The restoration project budget amounts to the amount of 129,242 euros.
