Professor of the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the University of Murcia (UMU) Jose Angel Olaz has published a work in which the role of the interview as a key tool for research in the field of social sciences is analyzed.
Study design, conduct and analysis as a method to unravel the complex interpretation of reality from the ideological, political, economic and social.
In the work aspects such as the establishment of a high level of trust with the interviewee, the management of complex situations that may arise during the interview or scenic elements to be taken into account are discussed.
"Within the qualitative analysis, the interview is fundamental to the understanding of complex realities," argues Professor of the University of Murcia, who notes that the work is designed mainly for students doing their doctoral thesis or to grade and finish work Masters in the area of ​​social and legal sciences and the humanities.
The book also aims to help professionals (sociologists, social workers, political scientists, psychologists, anthropologists, ethnologists, criminologists, journalists) who want to incorporate and develop this qualitative research technique in their daily work.
