Councilman Let's change Murcia Nacho Tornel has filed a motion in Parliament next Monday to ask the Ministry of Culture protection as of Cultural Interest (BIC) of argárico complex-site of Puntarrón Chico, in Beniaján, dating from the Age made of bronze.
The initiative also calls for training municipalist conducting a project to promote research work on the archaeological, ethnographic and paleontological heritage of the site, as well as provide budget building an interpretive center on the environment.
According Tornel, this site is one of the oldest and most important discoveries of Murcia, and has invaluable for culture and not only the district, but the whole peninsula, so its protection and enhancement is required .
In the 60s the first technical approach and archaeological survey of the complex took place, which would then planning future actions and defining areas of interest.
The second excavation was conducted 55 years ago.
The mayor pointed out the City Council and the Autonomous Region artistic and historical heritage not only exists in the city center, but there are also elements in the districts and in the garden of Murcia "which generally enjoy a degree of protection very little".
"Take them to light and preserve them is a way to enhance the cultural value of the entire municipality," he concluded.
