The PSOE bid to regain the Plan Pedanías to increase investment and correct inequalities with the center (26/05/2016)

The Socialist Group will defend in Parliament next Monday a motion in which he asked the City of Murcia to recover the agreement that existed until 2010 with the Autonomous Region for investments in the districts of the municipality, since because of the cuts has stopped receiving 8 million euros in the last four years, which would have meant improving the quality of life of over 240,000 Murcia and Murcia who live in them.

This initiative will add another claiming reinforced with more personnel and resources to the Technical Office Projects that promote municipal boards of the districts.

Gaskets that this year already manage 42 percent more budget than last year, thanks to the PSOE amendments introduced in the City Council Budget for 2016.

Plan Pedanías

Specifically, the motion referred to Pedanías Plan recalls that the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia came allocating to 2010 an average of 2 million each year for investments in the districts of the municipality of Murcia.

These amounts are included on an annual or multi-year basis in the so-called Plan Pedanías, provincial Barrios Peripherals and / or depressed, which derived the corresponding agreement to be signed between the two administrations.

The last agreement was signed in June 2010, by which the Ministry of Presidency funded 55 works in the districts for a total of 5.9 million euros, spread over several years.

Finally they were distributed as follows: 52,417 euros for the first year;

3.87 million for 2011 and 1.97 million in 2012. Since 2010, due to adjustments and cuts implemented by the regional government, with the complicity and approval of the Government of the PP in the city of Murcia, the districts have stopped receiving 8 million euros in investments.

Strengthening Technical Office

Another initiative that will take the House is a motion to support the management by the municipal boards in neighborhoods and districts, which will be defended by Councilman Enrique Ayuso.

This Office is managing investment projects promoted by the municipal boards.
