The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Councillor for Administration Modernisation, Urban Quality and Participation, Jose Guillen, today presided over the tribute to the officials who retire during this 2016, coinciding with the feast of Santa Rita, patroness of municipal employees.
In total, there are 39 workers who cease their activity in the City this year and now fired from their peers in a cheerful and festive event, which was also attended by relatives and members of the Municipal Corporation.
"Today we recognize their efforts and dedication, and we also remember the long history of officials of the City Council began its activity 750 years ago, by the command of King Alfonso X the Wise, who said so in the 'Privilege' which granted the city of Murcia, "said the mayor.
