Maria Dolores Alarcon, for 'The gleam in his eyes' and Adela Rueda, for 'A drop among many' have been the winners of the first prizes in the category of Bachelor-FP and Secondary respectively, the II Literary Contest Stories Water smart, organized by Aguas de Murcia.
Councillor for Public Works, Roque Ortiz, and the manager of Aguas de Murcia, José Albaladejo, attended this afternoon at the awards ceremony in Los Molinos del Rio.
The other winners were, in the category of Bachelor-FP, Claudia Sanchez, the second prize, and Alvaro Zamora, with the second prize;
while in secondary education, the second prize went to Sara Margarit, and the second prize in Andrea Perez, Carlos Rodriguez and Jose Tomás Piñera.
In total there have been 61 stories from eleven schools in the municipality and, given the quality of the work have been awarded the four runners-up.
The first prize winners received an iPad mini and second prize winners an e-book.
In addition they have all been presented with a lot of books
With this literary contest, Aguas de Murcia aims to contribute to spreading the culture of sustainability, promoting the active participation of young Murcia through literature.
The theme of the work dealt with the importance of water in society and in life, the responsible use and care for the environment as well as the perception that participants have the concept of smart city and smart water, taking the title of contest
