Protected bridge eighteenth century following a complaint from Murcia's change (17/05/2016)

The Heritage Service of the Autonomous Community has undertaken, following a complaint by Let's change Murcia, to be included in the procedure of Cultural Interest (BIC) of the Torre del Moro bridge two eyes of the eighteenth century it is located in the old bed of Azarbe Mayor, at the junction with the old Way of Monteagudo.

It also reports that after receiving the request's change Murcia has made a report to begin a process of demarcation BIC category monument Torre del Moro, staring into that space the remains of ancient medieval tower, Molino del Batan and the bed of the old Molino Azarbe entry.

The proposed Heritage also includes a protective environment for the section of Old Way of Monteagudo opposite the Tower and the aforementioned bridge.

Murcia change as a "very good news" that the Community assumes the need to protect the historic environment, albeit as a result of a request.

"We are pleased that the bridge the Torre del Moro and the environment, framed in our garden, are to be protected once and for all," adds municipalist training.

The Torre del Moro, also known as Torre del Batan, is a watchtower of medieval Islamic era that throughout its history has been used as a stately home, warehouse, yard, garage and implements.

It is included in the archaeological map of Murcia, which has the adjacent houses have been demolished, being around lots of rubble and waste, based on the last inspection in the area in 2006.
