The rector of the University of Murcia (UMU), José Orihuela, and the Minister of Education and Universities, Maribel Sanchez-Mora, an agreement signed today an agreement for the training and certification of teachers of language schools supported with public funds.
The UMU, through its Language Service, will provide teachers in primary and secondary specialized courses language proficiency in foreign languages ​​for the preparation of certification testing of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR) in the same economic conditions that workers of the University.
To this end, a joint registration, which will include the preparation and certification test be established.
Sanchez-Mora has referred to the agreement, which was signed at the headquarters of the Rector of the University of Murcia, as "very positive for the region" because "we have the idea from the regional government to make it a bilingual region".
The counselor, who has praised the quality of service of the UMU Language for learning other languages, highlighted the "degree of implementation of bilingualism in schools and regional institutes, coming in the last almost 90%."
The rector Orihuela, meanwhile, has said that this collaboration between administrations is a great benefit to everyone, helping the University of Murcia to promote bilingualism in the region, "one of our unfinished business," he said.
The agreement signed today is driven by the Department of Coordination and internationalization.
