On Saturday 14 May in the Garden of the Fountain of El Palmar from 10:30 am to 14:30 pm, will be held an activity in the Barrio de los Rosales, open to the entire village of El Palmar, called 'the Source of Cultures', which involved 500 children.

This activity is an initiative of the Department of Social Rights, headed Conchita Ruiz Caballero, through the Community Action Center attached to 'Murcia Sur' center.

Specifically it consists in developing a series of actions such as:

-Workshops Varied for participants in each of the booths.

Traditional games of Murcia, as well as the different participating countries.

Proxies for each country dances on stage.

-Mercadillo Of products made by participants in the workshops of the various associations working in Los Rosales and benefit Caritas of El Palmar products.

-Production Of a giant mandala made by children and adults attendees participating in the activities of all the workshops that are driven from the neighborhood of Los Rosales and in their schools.

These activities are carried out by Associations and Institutions representing a part of the cultural diversity that lives in the village of El Palmar.

Associations and entities that will participate are: Senegalese Murcia Aires of Colombia, Bolivian Estate, Foundation Roma Secretariat, Association of Youth for Change of Los Rosales, Maghreb Association of El Palmar, Islamic Cultural Association 'IBN Rochd' Dreams Andean Ukrainian Association of Murcia, Murcia ACCEM, United Association of Nigerians in Murcia, Musical Group of El Palmar, Peña Huertana 'the CHISQUERO' air Ministers Association and Catholic Action General (ACG).

In addition, other organizations and associations in the district of Los Rosales who collaborate, participate and engage in the activity and that the rest of the year working, that are: Association of locals of Don Juan, Association residents of Los Rosales, Columbares Association, Coordinator neighborhoods of Los Rosales, Bridges Meeting 7 Imagination and Animation and Adventure.

The objectives of this event, held for the eighth consecutive year, are, as explained Ruiz Caballero, "show the fun and entertainment of different nationalities living daily in El Palmar and Los Rosales aspect, and enrich the cultural diversity , showing them in the same physical space. "
