The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today participated in the campaign of the Blue NGOs in Action 'Give your old glasses new life', through the donation of lenses used in the collection point of clinical Vista Ircovisión located in Centrofama.
They also collaborated with this initiative the Councillor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Perez, the Councillor for Traffic Safety and Civil Protection, Lola Sanchez, and the Councillor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello.

1,150 cataract surgeries
As part of ophthalmological and optical medical cooperation, Blue in Action is working since 2007 in the countries of Togo, India and South Morocco, I having performed 1,150 cataract surgeries, 150 surgeries pterygium, made the donation of 4,000 glasses 1,500 graduates and sunglasses (use them patients after cataract surgery), 5,980 graduations vision, 9,850 treatments of eye diseases and 18,220 consultations.
