Victor Villegas Auditorium of Murcia lived last night 'El Amor Brujo' with the magnificent performance of Estrella Morente with the Symphony Orchestra of the UCAM, under the direction of J.Rafael Vilaplana.
The singer was also accompanied by his flamenco group, composed of José Carbonell 'Montoyita' on guitar, and Antonio Carbonell and Ángel Gabarre who made the choruses and palms.
The performance began with the interpretation of the Symphony Orchestra of the UCAM several pieces of Falla, among which highlighted 'The Three-Cornered Hat, Suite No. 3'.
They also had their place on the stage 'The moruno cloth', 'Asturiana', 'Nana' and 'Polo', which were the four popular songs of the Spanish composer which Morente gave voice before starting the central part of the work .
Following this tribute to the Spanish culture, tradition and art, Estrella Morente got into the role of 'Candela', the protagonist of 'El Amor Brujo' one of the most important and universal works of Manuel de Falla.
Morente's voice and gestures managed to transport the audience to the deep Spain of the early twentieth century.
Cheers, applause and the word 'bravo' reverberated in the Victor Villegas.
After this successful concert, the tour will arrive in Madrid tomorrow, Wednesday and finally land in Cartagena on Saturday 14 May, neighboring city of La Union, where the work was performed in 2014 at the International Festival of Cante de las Minas, receiving Estrella Morente the "Golden Castillete", the highest distinction of the festival.
