The Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment and the Caja Mediterráneo Foundation will collaborate to promote environmental activities in environmental education center CEMA in Torre Guil, Murcia.
The general director of Quality and Environmental Assessment, Encarnacion Molina, general director of Rural and Forestry Development, Federico García Izquierdo, and the director of the Office of Social and Economic Promotion of Environment, Juan Madrigal, held today a meeting with the vice president Foundation Caja Mediterráneo, Clemente Garcia, the regional director of social work, Antonio Rubira, and Town Planning, Environment and the City of Murcia Huerta, Antonio Navarro, to study the planned actions.
Counseling design a program of environmental activities with the foundation with the objective that the population can participate in environmental awareness initiatives and training related to the environment and the environment.
CEMA is in the Sierra de Carrascoy-El Puerto, regional park in the hamlet of Murcia Sangonera la Verde.
It is a space designed with criteria of bioclimatic architecture, which is integrated into the landscape taking advantage of the climate and environmental conditions and operating under the principle of energy saving and efficiency.
The center has meeting facilities, multipurpose rooms, bedrooms hall, dining room, library and outdoor spaces.
It also has photovoltaic solar plant.
It was also agreed to work together for the presentation of environmental projects financed with funds from the European Union, such as LIFE plus programs in those matters which are of interest to the Ministry as the recovery of degraded soils, the fight against climate change, improving air quality and biodiversity conservation.
