Wednesday May 4, at 13:00 pm, the exhibition "Artists Murcia in the Faculty of Arts", in Space ES / UM Campus of La Merced is inaugurated.
The Faculty of Letters, between the events commemorating the centenary of its creation, wants to pay tribute of recognition to Murcia artists from 1953 to the present, have been collaborating with their works in university activities competition.
The exhibition will remain open until Friday 27 May.
The University has housed since 1940 the "Chair Saavedra Fajardo" project.
In this cultural company they have worked and continue to work together writers and artists from Murcia.
Over the years, the presence of Murcia artists has been a constant in the life of the Faculty: commemorations, theater activities, conferences, special courses and editions have had the images created by them to enhance, adding a plus aesthetic, own work activities of the Faculty.
This exhibition is a significant example of this collaboration, not only have "borrowed" their images, but sometimes also donated their works.
Organizes the Cultural Service of the University of Murcia and the Faculty of Arts, Cajamurcia Foundation collaborates.
