MURCIA NOW criticizes the lack of commitment of PP and Citizens for retail local trade and proximity, and continue betting, as did the PP in the town for decades, the speculative economy that favors large investors.
Now the assertion of Murcia is motivated by what happened yesterday in the full City Council, as both parties allied to overthrow the motion to support the traditional trade.
"It's very sad," said Alicia Morales, "that when issues of economic and social significance for the town, which could open a way to make the most enriching, Distributive and supportive things, PP and Citizens presented bring out his known support the more speculative side of the economy and finance ".
Both parties sought to remove two key points in the text of Now Murcia to get real support to traditional trade: that the City Council conduct an indefinite moratorium on installing new superstores, both established in the General Plan as possible additions, and that the Consistory urge the Regional Government to amend the rules inherent to trade liberalization schedule contained in the recent Decree-Law no. 2/2016 of 20 April.
Councillor and spokesman Now Murcia regrets that these parties do not bet on measures "that would promote wealth creation in the municipality and its better distribution, rather than continue betting, as did the PP in Murcia for decades, the speculative economy and favoring large investors, also creating a work situation very precarious. We would love PP and C's to bet on local products, small businesses, family businesses and local organizations, promoting the interests of citizens rather than those of large corporations. "
The mayor stressed that "this motion, along with the ethical banking, who also liked to PP and C's, not only had an economic and social content, seeking to promote a new way to plan and manage, but also an ideological content, on what model municipality want: more sustainable, livable and solidarity ".
