The Governing Council of the University of Murcia (UMU) today approved the offer of places for course 2016-2017, which represents a slight reduction on the current course, made to realign supply and demand and to maintain maximum possible number those most requested qualifications.
The Vice Chancellor for Planning Teachings, José Manuel Mira, explained that the total number of seats will rise to 6,746.
The rector, José Orihuela, has indicated that the team works presiding decisively to introduce in the next courses a procedure that allows the UMU to maximizing its offer in major races.
Similarly, the Council has given its approval to the call for a total of 43 assistantships, 40 of which will go to various centers and three to the campus of Lorca, within the policy governing team to consolidate and strengthen the squares teachers and not have to go to the figure of partners.

The governing body also approved a proposal from the Faculty of Law, an adaptation of the academic calendar that will govern next year, and, as explained by the dean, David Morillas, will pilot basis.

During the session we proceeded to the election of the representative of teachers in the Social Council of the UMU, which went to José Fulgencio Angosto, former general secretary of this institution and a faculty of law.
It has also been given approval to the resolution of aids research initiation this year, totaling in the two modalities of the call, 33, with a single provision, as appropriate, of 2,400 or 3,000 euros.
Finally, it has approved the public offer of employment PAS 2016, totaling ten places.
