Raise funds to help patients who suffer from a rare disease and their families is the goal that is convened the Third International Festival of micro short-circuits or may not be, with which the organizers intend to reflect the viewer on causes stemming from changes genetic.
With this competition, run by the Citrum Audiovisual Cultural Association in collaboration with the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (FEDER), try the one hand, promote audiovisual creativity, promoting the use of audiovisual techniques in therapies to help understand disease, prevention or treatment and, second, to sensitize the general population about rare diseases and family and social impact thereof.
Councilman Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, has participated this morning in the presentation of the event along with the General Director of Planning, Research, Pharmacy and Citizen, Maria Teresa Martinez Ros, coordinators Festival, Juan Diego Martinez and Juan Luis Aparicio, and the president of the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (FEDER), Juan Carrion, and other collaborators of the event.
In the ceremony held at City Hall, where the Murcian singer-songwriter Sea Fund has interpreted the song written for the festival, it has also shown the promotional video of the event which will be released by the Instituto Cervantes.
Felipe Coello said that "we must participate and collaborate with initiatives that improve the quality of life for people with rare diseases and their families, for the direct benefit they receive must incorporate received by the rest of society, because this will be better the more you cultivate solidarity and justice. The contest awarded five awards: Best micro movie, worth 1,500 euros, Best Director and Best Performance, with an endowment of € 1,000 each-, Audience Award Online € -500 - and Best micro movie made with a mobile -300 € -.
There may be work from any country and in any language, provided they are subtitled in Spanish and do not exceed three minutes.
The deadline for submission is now open and runs until September 15.
The participant must upload the video via Youtube or Vimeo and then send the link thereof to the email address info@seronoserfestival.es, along with a work-sheet which can be downloaded on the competition website.
The manner of election of the winners will be made by a double method.
Once the admission of films for the competition closed, there will be 15 days for short staying on the web www.seronoserfestival.es can vote for anyone who wants it.
This route will involve 20% of the decision.
The remaining 80% will be the agreement of a jury of recognized prestige in the audiovisual sector which, in turn, will make the selection prior to the contest.
12 months, a cause
Under the slogan "12 months A Cause" Being or not Being Festival aims to advance social education through visual arts and other arts on related causes of disease.
Thus, the first edition was dedicated to the theme of Alzheimer, in collaboration with Afamur, while the second dealt with cancer and their impact, with the cooperation of the AECC.
In 2015, when the second edition was held, 32 jobs were recorded, including 22 from -10 Murcia- Spanish authors and the remaining 10 from Iran, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Greece, Singapore and Mexico.
