The Faculty of Biology, University of Murcia (UMU) today closed its activities XXIX week with the discovery of a bust of José Loustau biologist who was the first director of the educational institution.
The closure of the acts has also included a lecture by Professor Ángel Pérez Ruzafa on the Mar Menor and the awards to the winners of the poster competitions, school biological photography and drawing.
It has also placed the picture of the outgoing dean, José Meseguer, and has offered a tribute to teachers at the school who have retired this year.
The closing ceremony was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of Teaching Staff Jose Angel Lopez;
the Minister of Education and Universities, Maribel Sanchez-Mora;
Dean of the Faculty, Alfonsa García, and the director of the Week, Francisca Perez.
