Councilwoman Susan Hernandez today expressed absolute rejection Municipal Socialist Group to the announcement by the Ministry of Education to proceed with the closure of the Nursery School Gea and Truyols-La Tercia attending to children 3 to 5 years.
For this, the socialist mayor met this morning with parents at the door of the nursery school itself, where you have moved their complaints, by the headman mayor, Jennifer Perez and other members of the Board.
Susana Hernandez believes that this situation, which is repeated again as in 2013, plus a new attack on public education by the Popular Party, would be a blow to the village, and to suppress the nursery away the possibility that new residents arrive Gea and Truyols young people, especially when there are hundreds of unsold homes.
"Who is going to raise settle in this area, if you have a children's school and have to displace their three year old son Bus eight kilometers every day to Sucina?" Says Susana Hernandez.
In addition, as happened three years ago, the Ministry of Education has used the holiday period to communicate the decision to close, in order to avoid the mobilization of affected families.
Indeed, in July 2013 Susana Hernández and filed a motion with the municipal plenary in which it demanded the maintenance of the child classes in school Gea and Truyols.
This situation is absurd, because the parents of the district have said that for next year will increase the number of enrollments and for the next 2017/2018, which can double the number of students.
Therefore, the councilor has moved the Socialist Group support all initiatives taken by parents to keep the school open.
Likewise, Susana Hernandez will promote various initiatives at City Hall to prevent the closure, which will add to the Municipal Board of Gea and Truyols itself will be carried out, and the Socialist Group in the Regional Assembly.
