The president of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, attended today's procession of 'The Salzillos', of the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno.
Pedro Antonio Sanchez said that "it is exciting to see one of our deepest traditions where art, faith, beliefs and feelings are mixed."
The regional chief executive acknowledged the work of the Brotherhood of Jesus, "that makes us feel proud of what we have in the region as is 'Morning Salzillo' and all it represents."
He said that "deserves the declaration as Intangible Heritage by UNESCO, which will continue to support, along with our Easter, as one of the great artistic and cultural expressions."
The Brotherhood of Jesus is one of the most numerous and popular of Murcia.
'Morning Salzillo' is of Cultural Interest since 2014.
