The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Environment has awarded the University of Murcia (UMU) Sustainable Development Award in the category of environmental education for the "Eco-Campus: orchards organic farming" project.

The expanded last year UMU land organic farming project, which offers 41 individual plots university and an orchard of 250 square meters of community management.

"Eco-Campus" is part of the activities of the Sustainable Campus environmental management system, under the Vice President of Economy, Sustainability and Health Sciences.

This award adds to the Energy Excellence in the Region of Murcia, which was recently awarded the UMU for their actions raising awareness in the field of renewable energy and energy saving and efficiency.
