The student at the University of Murcia (UMU) José Miguel Rojo has won the "Best Speaker Award" of the XI National Debate Tournament, organized by the Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid.
Red, student of Political Science, was part of the Debate Club of the University of Murcia, composed of Salvador Moreno, of the same degree, Francisco Javier Torres and Julio Herreros, both the degree in law, and the president and team trainer, Manuel Paredes.
Murcia Club discussed about current problems between the Western powers and the Middle East, in a competition in which over 120 debaters and 28 teams from different universities.
Manuel Paredes, "in just six years the team has managed to become a Club Discussion with nationwide presence thanks to the potential that the University of Murcia".
This recognition adds to those obtained in the World Championships 2014 University Debating where they were semifinalists, and 2015, when proclaimed runners-up and won the 2nd and 4th place in the individual ranking of best speakers.
