Change Murcia has filed a motion in Parliament next Thursday to urge the local government to count on the immigrant people in the municipality for the holidays taking place in neighborhoods and villages.
Councilwoman signing the initiative, Margarita Guerrero, recalled that in Murcia live people of many nationalities and it is the duty of the government to make efforts for full integration in all areas.
In the case of this municipality, Guerrero has considered aspects that can be improved so that the participation of immigrant groups "is more direct and not act only as mere spectators".
In his opinion, it is "a necessary step towards fostering a model town that respects diversity, which is enriched by the cultural mix and advance towards real integration."
As an example of participation of the immigrants at parties, he stressed associations Bolivians who exhibited their culture, music and dancing in the carnival parade James.
