Councilman Let's change Murcia Sergio Ramos today urged the City Council to prepare a legal opinion to clarify whether there was some kind of irregularity in the award of the contract to Cespa in 2010 for the management of public street cleaning and collection and treatment of waste for a period of 20 years.
The mayor explained that his training will take this request to the Commission Surveillance Contracting for that in addition to a document with the assessment of the management and operation of the company, a legal report is issued in order to determine whether in the process anomalies or defects by the Consistory they were committed.
The request's change is motivated by the complaint of the prosecution for an alleged crime of bribery against the then mayor of street cleaning José Ros in relation to the management of this contract and others, which has been admitted by the owner of the Court of instruction number 4 of Murcia, Augusto Morales.
As explained Ramos, the contract, which has been the largest such contract in the history of the Consistory, about 1,000 million euros, it was not without problems at the time of their excessive duration.
