The University of Murcia (UMU) has won seven of the twelve disciplines of the regional competition of the Championship of Spain University, where public institution and UCAM have disputed the classification for the next phase.

UMU teams have earned qualification for the intermediate phase, to be held in Madrid the third week of May, after winning women's volleyball and men's and women categories soccer, football and rugby.

The regional stage has taken place in sports facilities at the University of Murcia and the City of Las Torres de Cotillas.
