In this event, the Judo Club Ciudad de Murcia, presented five of his judokas: William Plaza, Vlada Kopnyayeva, Cristina Perez and Lucia Cabero they had achieved their place in the Sector of Valencia and Adrian Plaza, which it had in the circuit Cups of Spain.
Vlada Kopnyayeva competed in -63 kg and left by the wayside in his first bout Alicia Sierra de Madrid and in the next round could win over the Catalan Cristina Calvo.
This victory qualified for semifinals where the tough Basque competitor Maialen Ramos was facing.

A series of circumstances led Lucia could not afford to fight with guarantees and the Bronze traveled to the Canary Islands and Lucia had to settle for a bitter but very creditable 5th place.
