Fields 11 football and soccer 8 Santiago El Mayor and Fleet debut artificial turf next season, after the Board of Governors has approved at its last meeting the corresponding specifications for contract renewal, which will take advantage the summer months not to interfere with the activity of sports schools, especially, of the 1,342 children from 71 teams playing football in them.
In both cases it is a renewal since the current field has a very deteriorated state due to years of use.
To replace facilities in Santiago El Mayor the planned budget amounts to 200,000 euros, while Fleet will be spending 150,000 euros.
In term of execution of the works will be 45 days.
The City Council has a network of 38 football pitches, of which 33 are artificial turf and 5 natural.
