The Board of Governors approved this week the program of the XVII International Festival Murcia Three Cultures, which this year will be held from 13 to 28 May both in public and in bounded spaces but freely accessible.
The spirit surrounding the development of the program of this edition is to promote respect among different peoples through art.
Thus, music, dance, theater, exhibitions, films and lectures together to develop solidarity and tolerance among different cultures.
The program of music and dance of the seventeenth edition of the festival will be as clear objectives the proposed activities aimed at promoting tolerance, diversity, coexistence and also especially, in this edition, the commemoration of the 750th anniversary the constitution of the Council of Murcia by king Alfonso X El Sabio.
Visit the city arrived from different points from four continents countries Sudan, United Kingdom, Morocco, United States, Senegal, Iran, Martinique, Mali, France, Israel, Palestine and Greece artists.
Among the music that will be heard is Sephardic, sacred, Balkan, classical, Andalusian, ancient and medieval, gospel, klezmer, pop, flamenco, folk, blues, etc ...
The International Murcia Three Cultures Festival has become one of the great Spanish festivals thanks to its special nature, artistic sensibility and variety of disciplines: music, theater, literature, thought, dance, photography and film in order to reconcile different ideas and belief in a great festival of understanding and tolerance.
