The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure and the city of Murcia today Interadministrative constituted Working Group for planning and coordination of work on the project of underground arrival of the High Speed ​​to the capital of the region.

The working group, in which all political, technical and social stakeholders will be convened at the entrance of the high speed rail to the capital of the region, constitute "an essential and decisive element" to achieve the "necessary" planning this strategic project, implemented by Adif, and in which the regional government and the City "have to coordinate their resources together with the Ministry for works the least possible impact the daily lives of citizens."

"The philosophy of strategic planning incorporates a follow-up work and a series of periodic and regular assessments conducted by the technical team appointed by the government and the scheduling of work to reconcile citizens' mobility and residential activities and economic, "said Barnabas.

In this technical group, in addition to Adif, the Community shall be represented by the Directorate General for Transport, Ports and Coasts and the City by the departments of Development, Modernization, Planning and Security.

Your task will be to establish a joint roadmap on the impact of the works on road traffic and pedestrian use of the roads affected, the planning of road closures and alternative routes and the definition of public transport services for a network of mobility infrastructure well connected to the residential areas and economic activities.

In addition to public transport, they will also examine alternatives to ensure public services such as waste collection and street cleaning, security, maintenance of lighting and traffic lights, among others.

At this meeting, the Minister and the Mayor took the opportunity to discuss other actions developed jointly by both administrations, such as the construction of the Coastal North and South of the city that allow better communication of the city with the districts and those between yes, like the execution of works of urban renewal in the district of Los Rosales, a project included in the current Housing Plan.
