The University of Murcia show anecdotes and curiosities of the history of mathematics through a lecture series that will begin tomorrow, Thursday, March 3.
Lorena Segura, a professor at the University of Alicante, in his talk tomorrow -12: 00 hours hall of the Faculty of Mathematics, Espinardo- campus will make a historical journey through contributions, often forgotten, women math more relevant.
The second conference, to be held on March 17, entitled "Galileo, Bernoulli, Newton, Leibniz, L'Hospital involved in the brachistochrone Who gives more ?!"
and it will be given by Pedro José Herrero, professor of IES Ricardo Ortega of Fuente Alamo.
In the last of the talks (April 14), Professor of IES Ramón y Cajal (Murcia) Francisco Gomez will release the arithmetic relationship between Diophantus and Jacques Ozanam, unknown French mathematician of the seventeenth century.
All lectures will take place at 12:00 pm in the auditorium of the Faculty, organized the activity with the group PICuadrado History of Mathematics and Scientific Culture Unit and Research Promotion (Prinum).
